    Hello,

I just wanted to give an update on this item as I believe there was an intention to fix it with SCOM 2019 Update Rollup 2 because a new JEE management pack version became available with this update (10.19.1123.0).

Unfortunately, after testing this new management pack it has not resolved the issue we're experiencing. After adding a universal application server (WebLogic) using the PowerShell scripts, no further discoveries take place. I've now removed the JEE management pack and imported the SCOM 2012 R2 version (7.5.1038.0) and repeated the same process. Almost immediately after adding a universal application server, additional discoveries take place and we are able to monitor our JEE applications as before.

Therefore, it appears there's a fundamental difference/bug with how discoveries are taking place with the SCOM 2019 versions of these management packs, so we will have to stick with the old version for the foreseeable future.

I just checked the digital signature dates for each management pack version of these PowerShell scripts:

    v10.19.1011.0 - 06 December 2011
    v7.5.1038.0 - 10 September 2014

This issue is also present with the January 2020 update of Power BI Report Server (Build 15.0.1102.759). Are likely to get a fix? All of our monitored SSRS instances have critical health state unless we disable this monitor.

I've imported the CTP version of the latest management pack (7.0.18.0) and it appears this issue has been resolved.

Hopefully this will continue to be the case when fully released.

    Thanks
