  1. DFS Replication Management Pack

Many Enterprise organisations are still reliant on File Services such as DFS-R and need to effectively monitor it. With no new release of the DFS Replication Management pack to support Windows Server 2016 and 2019, Organisations are failing to monitor key parts of their infrastructure, with failures affecting hundreds of users.

Please provide further support for DFS-R Monitoring

            • Update the Service Bus and Workflow Manager Management Packs

The Service Bus and Workflow Manager Management Packs are not updated since March 2015: is there any plan for updates?
We're facing an issue in monitoring the databases used by the Service Bus and the Workflow Manager that are hosted in a SQL Server 2014 machine, but SCOM always report them in critical state and the error message states there is no Monitoring Pack for SQL Server installed.

              • Fix "Management Pack Recommendations" MP 7.3.13165.0

I have just updated to this latest version of the 'Management Pack Recommendations MP' via the Updates and Recommendations feature in SCOM2016. I now have a couple of hundred powershell failed to run warnings from a large number of servers for 'Lightweight non server roles discovery' filling my alerts pane. Previously zero script errors.

So far been unsuccessful in resolving this issue.

                • BUG in the installation process of SCOM 1801 Web Console (WORKAROUND)

                  Hi together,
again there is a bug in the Web Console, this time in SCOM 1801.

I installed SCOM 1801 Web Console using "Enable SSL" option. But if I browse on Internet Explorer, or Firefox, etc. https://<WEB CONSOLE>/OperationsManager gives the following error:
"The remote server returned an error: (404) Not found".

I could broswe the following pages without any problem:
                  https://<WEB CONSOLE>/Dashboard
                  https://<WEB CONSOLE>/AppAdvisor
                  https://<WEB CONSOLE>/AppDiagnostics

                  I figured out the issue
                  --------------------------
If I install SCOM Web Console without "Enable SSL", then the access to Web Console works.

SCOM Web COnsole installation process with "Enable SSL"…

                    • "Send Queue % Used" Monitor in Core MP doesn't work

The "Send Queue % Used" Monitor targeted to the "Agent" class in the "System Center Core Monitoring" MP (version 7.1.10226.1177) never changes state, even when the threshold is exceeded. Additionally, the thresholds in the documentation do not match the thresholds actually configured in the monitor.

                      • use the linux best practises for package deployment

Currently the linux agent is distributed using a management pack that implements a huge script that installs the agent.
This script violates almost every (if not all) best practise for linux distributions to packaging and installing software on linux.
This makes maintaining the package a huge task that is very prone to errors.
Using the distributions best practises to package and install software will make this a lot easier for you.
                        - less errors
                        - it will save you time.
                        - support will be easier
                        - less complex
                        - most off your work has already been done for you
                        -…

We deployed the latest version of the Management Pack Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, and now we noticed while executing 'Reject New Client Sessions Monitor' from 'Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Application Object Server Task' users are not getting notified that the administrator is going to shut down the application. It’s a well-known problem that MPs are way too noisy and that customers spend most of their time tuning the damn things. All that noise also means that the first thing ordinary SCOM users get is bombarded with emails / noise, which causes those users to disengage from using SCOM right from the very outset.

In terms of best practices, it is customers who operate and run these MPs at scale and who therefore have the real-world knowledge of what's needed from the MPs when running them in Production, much more so than disconnected development teams.

                            Right now, there's no…

                              • Windows Certificate Monitoring in SCOM.

                                Hi Team,

I believe now a days its very common to use Certificates for secure communication including SCOM.

Its surprising we don't have any Mgmt Pack to monitor the same. However, we have third party mgmt. pack already but none is certified yet. I believe there should be certified Mgmt Pack.

                                Third Party:

                                • SQL MP - Last Run Status monitor alert should contain job error message in it

Its very strange to see 'Please see the alert context for detaills' in 2016 year.

                                  • ADFS - "MEX Endpoint Is Unreachable" Monitor update to support Secondary Servers

The monitor goes unhealthy on ADFS Secondary servers because the script is only designed to run on the Primary server. Either make the script support secondary servers or the monitor's Condition Detection module detect that it is running on a seconday server (as the information is gathered in the discovery phase). Personally, the script should be doing the checking everytime and not rely on the discovery as the information from the discovery could be outdated (haven't checked as yet how often the discovery for this info).

                                    • AD Certificate Service - Online (OCSP) responder Monitoring

Do we have something to monitor OCSP for Active Directory Certificate Services?
                                      The current MP https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34765
Note: CA only (no support for Online Responder or other Active Directory Certificate Services role Services)

I found a script but I was thinking if we have something embedded for SCOM https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Certificate-Authority-0c39cb4a#content

                                        • Discover multiple forests without trusts and properly show them in a diagram

The AD MP still doesn't seem to understand that many organisations have multiple forests, without trusts. If only for DTAP best practices. I would like a topology view, and health rollups, for each forest along with the trusts between them.
