Description Bug: MSSQL on Windows: Some securables are inaccessible
In the MSSQL on Windows: Some securables are inaccessible alert the Alert description states that the following objects are views;
These are actually Tables in MSDB. This can be confusing for non-SQL SCOM admins when trying to troubleshoot and resolve issues
This should be updated to reflect that they are tables not views.
We’ve recently released a new preview version of SQL Sever management pack where we updated the alert description of monitor “Securables Configuration Status”. See this announcement https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sql-server/released-public-preview-for-sql-server-management-pack-7-0-23-0/ba-p/1496076 to learn more about this update.
It's a preview version for gathering feedback from users. The production-ready version will come some later, no more precise ETA yet though.
Why is this even an issue with a clean install of SCOM 2019?
First there is many prerequisites, log on as a service for a big one. And now this, a default SQL server install. Next a default install of SCOM2019 to a remote SQL server, installation completed succesfully. However all kinds of security aspects are not ok, what gives?
