Agent task initiation fails if ANY object is grey (when multiple objects selected)
Steps to reproduce:
Multi-select a group of objects/targets. Example: Agent (from Agents by Version state view)
Launch Task: "Flush Health Service State and Cache"
Symptom: Task initiation will fail for ALL targets if any one object is grey. This is incredibly annoying when selecting large groups of objects as it is incredibly tedious to scroll through the sluggish Console to UNselect any grey items.

Option to allow SCOM Admins to grant Advance Operators the ability to view other AO's Maintenance Schedules
Provide the option for SCOM Administrators to allow roles such as Advanced Operators to view but not edit existing maintenance schedules. This functionality would be beneficial to some customers as it would allow users to prevent creating duplicate schedules or to verify the existence of an expected schedule before beginning work.

Implement a way for immediate SCOM agent data purge
The current way for immediate agent removal is not supported via SCOM SDK, but involves some SQL tweaking, in order to cleanup the database in advance from remnants of the object. The reason is that all discovery workflows should pass (on their respective schedule) before all references to the objects are removed. More details here: https://kevinholman.com/2018/05/03/deleting-and-purging-data-from-the-scom-database/

Ability to install/uninstall/delete SCOM agents without being a full SCOM Admin
We would like to see a role/permissions setting to install\uninstall\delete SCOM agents without being a full SCOM Admin. Other IT engineers can add/remove SCOM agents without having to engage a SCOM Admin to do this for them.

Possibilities when creating Dashboards in Webconsole
I want better design possibilities when creating dashboards in the webconsole.
Want possibilities to change the size of tiles.
Want possibilities to create headlines that can be formated.
Want possibilities to group objects in the dashboard.

Problem with granular user rights
Our technical teams and application owners are members of the built-in "Operations Manager Read-Only Operators" role and therefore can see all objects in SCOM. Now I want to grant some teams access to some groups and allow them to put theirs systems into maintenance mode. For that I created a new role based on the Operators role and limited the group scope to just the group they should get higher pivileges on.
I've then added user accounts to the newly createed user role and tested access via the SCOM Web console. To my surprise, they now have operator access to…1 vote -
Add a column that shows Alert type "Rule" or "Monitor"
Add a column that shows Alert type "Rule" or "Monitor". Also add a filter in there for alert type to display Rule or Monitor or both

The possibility to start a maintenance mode schedule manually
Today when you press stop on a MM schedule, the objects in the schedule leaves MM.
It would be nice it there were a 'run now' button. Just like in the Windows Task scheduler.1 vote -
Agent authentication using key
The agent supports connecting to Log Analytics with a workspace ID and Key. Allowing agents from any cloud and domain to connect. I recommend adding a similar agent verification mentor to SCOM. This would improve the ability to manage agents in untrusted domains and external clouds.

SCOM 2016/2019 Operations Console on Windows Server Core, cannot import management packs from disk
I believe to have found a bug when attempting to import management packs from disk when using the Operations Console on a Server Core. (Note: Using the Operations Console from a remote computer that is not Server Core works).
Scenario:
- SCOM 2016 and 2019
- Windows Server 2019 Server Core (Have not yet verified with Windows Server 2016 Server Core).
- The "ServerCore.AppCompatibility~~~~0.0.1.0" Features on Demand (FOD) has been installed.
- Management server & Operations Console features installed.
When using the Operations Console on the Windows Server 2019 Server Core computer, and when attempting to import management packs from local disks, you receive…

Start-SCOMAgentMaintenanceMode should have -Force parameter
Agent -initiated maintenance mode https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/manage-maintenance-mode-overview?view=sc-om-2019#enable-from-target-system-1 is great, however as of now it still forces an answer in the console prompt - preventing the use from automated scripts that run on target systems. Adding a -Force parameter that skips the "are you sure?" check would be very welcome and trivial to implement, without us having to reverse and simulate the behaviour to reach the same effect.

Allow SCOM to support Log Analytic agent deployments
The SCOM agent version deployed by SCOM is defined by the UR level. With Log Analytics agents, version control is becoming an issue. I propose some mechanism to allow SCOM to deploy the latest Log Analytics agent. Either as a patch or an alternate agent update version.

Ability to export objects from the active view in the console
It would be incredibly useful to be able to generate CSV or plain text files comprised of output containing all the objects in the active view of the SCOM console.

De-Activate and Activate a Management Pack
It would be handy to De-Activate a MP instead of deleting it. Or set a MP in maintenance.

need diagnostic and recovery tasks for log monitoring
seems that when i setup a log monitor there is not an diagnostic and recovery tab. so i am unable to add any of these tasks with a log monitor. other monitors have a diagnostic and recovery tab so automation is able to be added with those monitors. however for log monitoring, we have to take manual reaction to these alerts since the diagnostic and recovery tab does not exist. we need to have that option for log monitors.

Design Scom to support Kusto language instead of SQL Query
Currently we are able to collect monitoring data, Audit through ACS or dashboard deployment, either by Scom Console or VSAE or other partner tools. Depending on the dashboard and customer skill, it's a struggle to create these tasks and many give up and move for a easier competitor monitoring tool.
With Kusto Language used by Azure Monitor, many customers had a good feedback because it's easier to create dasboards and query data. However some ones are restrict to use Cloud Solution due to company policy and prefer using on-premises solutions.
Another barrier for using SQL query is a dependence from…24 votes -
